The "Disaster Management" at the Secretariat of the National Red Cross hosted a training "Depuration of water for domestic use".
The course was attended by representatives of NGO’s from Europe, the Austrian Red Cross and six of the district councils and the National Assembly of the BRC. The training experts were from the Austrian Red Cross and the Canadian Agency for Water. After the theoretical part the participants worked in groups and learned the practical process of supporting affected population and the need to provide clean water to victims.
The training was at an extremely high level. The course is part of the Austrian Red Cross, under the project "Strengthening the response capacity of the new EU member states", funded by the Office of Humanitarian Activities of the European Commission (ECHO).
