The top ranked chess player in the world Veselin Topalov, who is an official face of the Red Cross Red Crescent campaign „Our world. Your move!” for Bulgaria has sent a special message to the Bulgarian Red Cross from Spain.
It says: „Dear friends! With the whole of my soul I support the efforts of the Red Cross to help the suffering Haitians. I am a witness of the compassion of the Spanish people for this enormous tragedy and I sincerely believe that my compatriots, with their inherent sense of humanity will not stay indifferent to the hardship and misery of the hundreds of thousands of people threatened by hunger and epidemics. I call on all Bulgarians to respond to the Bulgarian Red Cross appeal and to give their donations within their possibilities. Let us remember that in days of hardship, what keeps people going is solidarity, compassion and help. We have been supported dozens of times. Let us help now!”
