PILOT TRAINIG COURSE FOR RED CROSS TEAMS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD
In the National Training Centre of BRC – Lozen, representatives of 24 RC/RC National Societies participated in the Global Training for Coordination, Assessment and Planning in time of disasters. It finished on 15 May and was a part of the activities of 2-year project “Volunteers of EU for humanitarian assistance; Technical Assistance and Capacity Building”. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Federation of Red Cross/Red Crescent (IFRC/RC) jointly with the NS of Austrian, Italian, Dutch and Bulgarian Red Cross.
The main goal was the members of the Disaster Preparedness Teams to be trained in effective coordination implementation; adequate needs assessment; operational planning and NS support during the initial phase of the disaster. This project is a next step for wider cooperation between the IFRC/RC and the EU in the humanitarian area.
On 13 May 2019 was organized and implemented a training on the field with the members of the IFRC/RC Global Team for Coordination, Assessment and Planning.
