The Bulgarian Red Cross hosts the leadership meeting of the South-Eastern European Red Cross/Red Crescent National Societies, which is held in the framework of the established in 2017 network for mutual aid in case of disasters “Neighbours Help First”. During the meeting will be discussed disaster preparedness activities, including trans-border support in the region and optimization of the coordination in resource sharing. It is expected that the members of the network will accept a two-year action plan.
15 Red Cross/Red Crescent National Societies will participate in the meeting, as well as representatives of IFRC/RC, ICRC, The Initiative for Disaster Preparedness and Prevention in South-Eastern Europe, etc.
It is expected that the regulation meetings of the International Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement and the 33d International conference, which will be held in December this year in Geneva, will be also discussed.
