The 16th International Red Cross and Health Film Festival 2015 was opened with the kind hospitality of the Kamchia Sanatorium and Health Complex. Under the patronage of the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Margarita Popova and with the participation of the Navy Orchestra and the Youth Guards , which will be held in Varna and Kamchia from September 28 to October 3 and will delight Varna residents and guests with free screenings of some of the most successful European film productions over the past year.
The event began with a welcome meeting in the atrium of the Longoz Hotel, where all guests and participants from the domestic and foreign scene, including Tatiana Lolova, Nikola Anastasov, Slavcho Peev, Maria Statulova, Serbian director Dusan Milic, Turkish counterpart Fatih Ishchi, as well as the international jury headed by Pavel Vasev, talked over a glass of wine with journalists about the upcoming event, their expectations and their joy at restoring a long film tradition from the country's cultural poster under the motto: "Through humanism to peace and friendship" .
Before the screening of the first film of the festival program, guests and participants walked the red carpet to open the competition and enjoy one of the last masterpieces of director Wim Wenders "Salt of the Earth."
