"Aggression - Humanity - Cinema"

In the period 17 - 21 November 2016, Varna hosted the Autumn Academy of the International Festival of Red Cross and Health Films with the main theme "Aggression - Humanity - Cinema" . Within the academy were held many lectures, discussions, workshops with keynote speakers, including Prof. Bozhidar Manov - Artistic Director of the Festival, Dr. Slavita Dzhambazova - Deputy Director General of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Emil Spahiiski - journalist, observer. Trud newspaper, Maxim Behar - journalist, PR expert, Stefan Kitanov - director of Sofia Film Fest, Toma Tomov - journalist, political commentator, Savina Rupenlieva - from the Ministry of Tourism, Martichka Bozhilova - producer.

The academy was accompanied by a free film program at the Kamchia Sports Complex.

A special film program was selected for the residents and guests of Varna, with free screenings in the Plenary Hall of the Municipality of Varna.

The program included premiere films for Bulgaria and those that are shown only within the Academy from China, India and Malaysia.

Autumn Academy of the International Festival of Red Cross and Health Films is organized with the support of the Medical University - Varna and the National Council of the Bulgarian Red Cross in the years between the competition editions of the Festival. During the forum there are ideas and positions on current issues that excite artists, members of the public, journalists, representatives of Red Cross organizations, medical circles. Lectures and discussions, workshops, screenings of documentaries, short films and feature films provide up-to-date information from and for professionals, which every active member of society needs to make their responsible choices.


Festival of Festivals

"Festival of Festivals" is the initiator of the annual meeting of festivals, a forum where information is exchanged, experience is discussed, current topics are discussed, experts are introduced to know-how.

"Festival of Festivals" organized with the assistance of MU - Varna and the National Assembly of the Bulgarian Red Cross is a training meeting within the International Festival of Red Cross and Health Films. The meeting is aimed at organizers of cultural events such as creative, executive and program directors, breeders and consultants, marketing services, press services, technical services and accreditation offices, as well as companies that specialize in providing services to festivals - advertising agencies, lighting and audio-video services, stage and props companies, graphic and web designers. The meeting provides an opportunity for comparison and growth, as well as the beginning of cooperation aimed at competitiveness and efficiency of the sector. Agencies and institutions involved in the promotion and realization of cultural events can also participate.

The Festival of Festivals is also addressed to the marketing departments of companies that invest or want to invest in event sponsorship, thus creating targeted and direct communication with the consumer, managing to achieve the set goals without loss. The Festival of Festivals also includes institutes, master classes and specialized courses in the training of specialists in the field of cultural events, as well as students and ambitious professionals, thus the Festival of Festivals builds a direct and successful dialogue between the two countries.

The event opens its doors to all fans and users of festival events, offering them the opportunity to gain a closer understanding of the dynamics and cultural offer of the festival system. We hope that the forum will be of interest to the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, as festivals in all their forms are an essential part of cultural tourism.
