

The disaster occurs quickly and unexpectedly. It can be small in size, such as a house fire, or large as an earthquake. You may be forced to evacuate the neighborhood or stay home indefinitely.
After the disaster, local authorities and aid workers will arrive on the scene, but may not be able to reach everyone immediately. Help may arrive in a few hours, but it can sometimes take days. Is your family prepared to deal with a disaster until help arrives?
If your area is affected by an earthquake, strong winds, winter storm or other disaster, you may not have access to food, water and electricity for days, even weeks. By taking the time now to stockpile food and water, you could provide for your entire family in such an environment.
