The nursing home in the city of Kardzhali provides a complex of long-term social services to persons who have acquired the right to a pension for insurance experience and age according to the Social Security Code.
It has been operating for 25 years and offers its residents not only adequate food, clothing and qualified medical care, but also psycho-social support. Daily activities are related to the individual needs of each resident, for which purpose individual plans are prepared, which are periodically reviewed and updated. The residents live in very good living conditions, and social contacts and various recreational activities allow them to lead a full lifestyle.
The regional organization of the Bulgarian Red Cross - Kardzhali, in partnership with the Municipality of Kardzhali, local non-governmental organizations and local donors, successfully manages the home, which has been financed from the state budget since 2008.

Targeting
Persons wishing to use a Home for the Elderly shall express their wish orally and/or in writing on site, by telephone or electronically to the Social Assistance Directorate at their place of residence.
The referral of individuals to use social services is carried out by the Social Assistance Directorates (SADs), through the preparation of a written preliminary assessment of needs with the participation of the individual.
Fee
For the social services used, users pay a fee in the amount determined by the Tariff for fees for social services, financed by the Republican budget.
