Charity fund “Good doers”

The charity fund “Good doers” for supporting vulnerable children and young people through creative and educational activities at the Bulgarian Red Cross Youth BRCY is a is a sequel of the long-term initiatives of the BRCY in this direction dating from 1974.
This new Fund is a successor to the previous ones: Fund for promotion and development of creative abilities for children and young people with special educational needs and/or low social status and the International competition “"Will you like my creativity?”.
The aim of this Fund is to create additional conditions and opportunities for wider social integration of children and young people with special needs/from vulnerable groups through creative and educational development and resource support. The funds in the „Good doers” are raised in order to support families in a socially vulnerable situation, raising children and/or young people with special needs; support of specialized institutions and organizations providing social services for children and young people with special needs; providing scholarships to children and young people with special needs, which are in a difficult financial situation.
The support from the Fund is provided by granting targeted financial aid, providing scholarships and/or by applying from the regional structures of the Bulgarian Red Cross under small grant mechanisms targeting at carrying out activities at regional / national level related to the realization of the objectives of the Fund.

WAYS OF MAKING A DONATIONS
І. Tax relief for donations in favor of the Bulgarian Red Cross, made by individuals under the PITA (Personal Income Taxes Act):
The tax reliefs provided for in Article 22, paragraph 1, item 1, item “i” of the PITA are expressed in the fact that the amount of the annual tax bases is reduced by donations made during the year to 5 percent in favor of the Bulgarian Red Cross.
ІІ. Tax relief for donations in favor of the Bulgarian Red Cross, made by legal entities under CITA (Corporate Income Tax Act):
The tax reliefs provided for in Article 31, paragraph 1, item 10 of CITA are expressed in the fact that for tax purposes are recognized accounting costs for donations in the total amount of up to 10 percent of the positive accounting financial result (accounting profit), when the expenses for donations are made in favor of the Bulgarian Red Cross.
