Basic Training in First Psychological Aid

On April 13 in the National Training Center - Dolni Lozen started basic training in first psychological aid in disasters, accidents and catastrophes.
For two days more than 30 staff specialists from all BRC Regional Councils will get acquainted with the system for providing psychosocial support and will receive basic knowledge on first psychological aid.
At the opening Dr. Sofia Stoimenova - Director General of the BRC, emphasized the importance which similar type of trainings have for the staff and volunteers of the BRC, whose work is to face human suffering on daily basis.
Henrietta Ilieva, clinical and consulting psychologist and expert of the BRC will show the new theory and practice of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent to deal with victims in the disaster area.
