Bulgarian Youth Red Cross in partnership with TotalEnergies EP Bulgaria BV launch a pilot road safety program for children at school
The initiative is in support of the Global Road Safety Partnership, in which the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies participates, and will be piloted in schools in Varna and Burgas. Within the program, volunteers of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross (BRCY) will introduce students to the rules of the road through an innovative and entertaining approach.
The initiative is designed to work in a context adapted to local needs, based on internationally recognized good practices for child road safety. The educational program will be implemented for the first time in Bulgaria with the support of the Bulgarian branch of the global company "TotalEnergies" in these regional cities, and depending on the perception and results achieved there is a prospect that it will grow into a national one. The topic of road injuries is becoming more and more relevant, and the statistics are alarming. Early childhood road safety training is essential for building good habits and proper road behavior.
