For the needs of the affected population, the Bulgarian Red Cross sent 2 trucks with warm clothes, blankets, winter shoes, bed linen and hygiene materials, which are part of the donations of citizens and companies under the National Charitable Campaign of the organization.
Another 2 trucks with humanitarian aid, including blankets, bedding sets and pillows from the Disaster Reserve of the Bulgarian Red Cross for 2000 people, were provided through the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union.
The BRC continues to monitor the situation in Ukraine with concern, maintains constant contact with the Ukrainian Red Cross, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and is ready to provide further assistance to those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
