OPENING OF A CONTROL AND COMMUNICATION CENTER IN THE TOWN OF VRATSA

On March 8, 2022, Tuesday, 10 a.m., in the town of Vratsa, Dabnika residential complex, bl. 34, ground floor, the Deputy Director General of the Bulgarian Red Cross Dr. Nadezhda Todorovska and the Mayor of Vratsa Kalin Kamenov will officially open the country's first Control and Communication Center (CCC) to provide teleassistance and telecare services. They are suitable for elderly people over 50 with chronic diseases and permanent disabilities.

The Control and Communication Center (CCC) is part of an intelligent system for independent living, based on the use of personal electronic devices by users, which allow remote monitoring of physiological indicators in real time and signaling at risk to health and safety at home mu.

The innovative teleassistance and telecare services started in January 2022 on the territory of the districts of Vratsa, Vidin and Montana. Gradually, consumers are involved, and their total number within the project will reach 500 people, some of whom live alone in small and remote settlements. The monitoring of the activity and condition of the users is performed 24 hours 7 days a week by a specially trained team of 5 people with medical education.

On March 8, 2022, Tuesday, 11 a.m., in the town of Vratsa, in the conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the address: 1 Hristo Botev Square, 2nd floor, a round table will be held on the topic New technologies to help older people. " It will be attended by the Deputy Director General of the Bulgarian Red Cross Dr. Nadezhda Todorovska, representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, municipal and regional administrations, RD "Social Assistance", RHI, medical institutions , general practitioners, etc. The aim is to present the new social and health services provided in the municipalities of Vratsa, Oryahovo, Byala Slatina, Krivodol, Vidin, Belogradchik and Montana. Norway's experience in this field will also be presented during the round table .

The initiatives are under the project "Innovative models of community care for people with chronic diseases and permanent disabilities", which is implemented by the Bulgarian Red Cross in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities. of the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
