The Bulgarian Red Cross calls on you: Donate blood, donate life!
National Blood Donation Campaign of Palm Sunday
On April 17, 2022 (Sunday ), on the day of the great Christian holiday Palm Sunday , a spring campaign for gratuitous and voluntary blood donation will be held throughout the country under the title "Light a candle, donate blood! Save a life now! ” The campaign is organized by the National Center for Transfusion Hematology (NCTH), the Ministry of Health and the Bulgarian Red Cross, with the support of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
The temporary blood donation points in Sofia will be open from 9:00 to 13:00 in the immediate vicinity of the capital's Orthodox churches:
• “Sveti Sedmochislenitsi” - in the 6th primary school “Graf Ignatiev”, 16 “Septemvri” str.
• "Holy Sunday" - at the Faculty of Theology;
• “Protection of the Mother of God” (behind the Rodina Hotel) - in the parish center of the church, 2 Georgi Delchev - Zografina Street;
• "Nativity" (Mladost 3) - in the parish center near the church
The teams of the NCTH, the regional centers for transfusion hematology and the volunteers of the Bulgarian Red Cross will help those who want to donate blood.
