Already in Burgas, following the example of our other sea capital - Varna, the residents of the city can collect separately and donate textiles in containers with the logo of the Bulgarian Red Cross.
The placement of the containers is part of the project for separate collection of textiles, implemented in partnership with the Bulgarian Red Cross and Humanita, in several regional cities in the country (Plovdiv and Asenovgrad, Sofia, Pernik, Varna) and several smaller settlements.
The project provides opportunities for the population to donate obsolete textiles and to use them, not waste in the general waste, thus preserving significant natural resources. The requirement for all products - clothes, home textiles, bags and shoes, is to be clean, in usable condition and to be neatly packed in a closed bag.
The model aims to return raw materials to the economy, opening the possibility to extend their life, which leads to a reduction in the extraction of new natural resources.
Separate collection containers are a permanent system and are not related to the campaign to collect clothes for victims of the conflict in Ukraine.
