Today, on the World Blood Donation Day, the Bulgarian Red Cross expresses its gratitude, respect and esteem to the voluntary and gratuitous blood donors, to the people who save human life with their blood.
Millions of people around the world owe their lives to the nobility and empathy of someone they have never met, to the mercy and selfless help of a person who voluntarily donates a part of himself - his blood, without even thinking about material benefits. And human blood has no analogue and that makes it priceless.
Fulfilling its humanitarian mission, the Bulgarian Red Cross works to build a positive attitude towards donation and in particular towards voluntary and gratuitous blood donation, especially among young people and adolescents.
We thank the blood donors for their invaluable contribution both in emergencies and disasters, and in the daily care of hundreds of thousands of patients in need!
