Kaufland donates BGN 20,000 for a hot lunch to students in need
Funds are allocated from the sale of Kidland children's toys in December
Kaufland donates BGN 20,000 to support the "Hot Lunch" program. Through it, the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) provides free hot meals for students in need . Funds for the donation are separated from the sale of children's toys from the Kidland chain's own brand in December.

"Hot Lunch" is one of the longest-running programs of BCH , and Kaufland has been its traditional partner for 13 years. Thanks to the program, children in a disadvantaged situation - orphans, semi-orphans, from large families or with permanently unemployed parents - receive free hot meals at school. For a large number of them, the provided hot lunch is a significant measure against dropping out of school.

This past December, Kaufland customers nationwide had the opportunity to help these children by purchasing a Kidland toy. The company allocated 30 cents from each sold Kidland toy to support "Hot lunch", and the allocated funds for the donation are in the amount of BGN 20,000.

We are grateful that during the festive month of December, our customers opened their hearts and supported the noble cause of BCHK. With the purchase of a Kidland toy, they made two children happy - theirs with a Christmas present, and a child in need with a hot meal ," said Kremena Georgieva, Manager of "Corporate Communications and CSR " at Kaufland Bulgaria.

The total amount donated since the beginning of the joint cooperation of Kaufland Bulgaria with the BCH on the program is over BGN 480 thousand. Since the program's inception, the humanitarian organization has provided approximately 2 million free hot lunches to needy school-going children.
