BRC is ready to provide humanitarian aid to the Turkish Red Crescent (TRC)
For the needs of the population affected by the devastating earthquake, Turkey, February 6, 2023.

BRC is ready to provide from its disaster reserve 1,000 sleeping sets , which include camping beds, inflatable mattresses, pillows, blankets, top and bottom sheets, pillowcases, towels and towels; an additional 1,000 blankets and 1,000 sets of bed sheets. From the joint disaster reserve of the Bulgarian Red Cross and the Turkish Red Crescent, 300 kitchen sets with tableware, 300 family tents, 300 radiators, 1,000 mattresses and 3,000 woolen blankets can be provided.

A search and rescue team of 12 people with 5 dogs from the Mountain Rescue Service of the BRC is also ready to leave for Turkey.

The Bulgarian Red Cross is in constant communication with the Turkish Red Crescent and the formed headquarters of the TRC, leading the assistance operation, as well as with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the DG PBZN.

Through the representatives of the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, the BRC is ready to assist in the provision of additional assistance, incl. and within the partnership network of national societies from South-Eastern Europe "Neighbors help first".

The BRC is in solidarity with the efforts of its colleagues from the TRC, whose teams are on the ground and provide first aid and psychological support to the victims in the affected areas, recruit, distribute and provide humanitarian aid as needed.
