Global support and solidarity to provide humanitarian aid is essential for the following weeks and months of recovery. The Turkish Red Crescent and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent immediately mobilized to support all victims. And the needs are growing every minute! Rescue teams are reaching the worst-hit areas, where survivors are still trapped under the rubble.
Turkish Red Crescent teams are on the ground in ten affected provinces in the southern and southeastern regions and are supporting the injured and evacuees with food and basic items such as tents, blankets, etc. They provide psychological support, distribute hot food and send their national blood and plasma stock to the affected regions.
In Syria, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent responded on the ground immediately after the disaster, participating in search and rescue operations, providing first aid, conducting medical evacuations and transporting injured people to hospitals.
