
The Bulgarian Red Cross and the National Center for Transfusion Hematology (NCTCH) honored 15 individual and institutional blood donors from Sofia with special contributions to the cause on the occasion of the World Day of Voluntary and Free Blood Donation, June 14, with an honorary plaque.
The deserving blood donors, institutions, companies and non-governmental organizations, which contributed to the popularization of blood donation, were awarded by the Deputy General Director of the BCHK, Dr. Nadezhda Todorovska, and by the Deputy Director of the NCTH, Dr. Krasimira Velichkova.
Similar ceremonies were held across the country, where more than 100 regular blood donors with special contributions were honored.
