BRC honored Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova with its highest award for supporting the organization
The Chairman of the Bulgarian Red Cross Academician Hristo Grigoro presented the highest award of the organization - "Medal for Humanity" - gold to the vice-president Mrs. Iliana Yotova, for her support, empathy and dedication to the causes and activities of the organization.
The Vice President congratulated the participants in the regular session of the 67th General Assembly - the highest forum of the organization and thanked for the recognition.
" I call you friends because we work together and we are connected not only by our common projects and support for various initiatives, we are connected by the invisible thread between people who lend a hand when they have to overcome difficulties. There is a wonderful Bulgarian word that can hardly be translated into a foreign language - charity, and all of you are benefactors ," Yotova said and emphasized that the BRC is an extremely important organization because it is the embodiment of goodness, which in this loaded with many technologies and tension century, as if we forgot.
The vice-president assured the attendees that, in addition to pride, this recognition was also an obligation for her and promised to work with even greater empathy for common causes. You are different because you love people, Yotova addressed the forum participants and stated that she supports all the initiatives of the BRC and recalled that the organization has been waiting for the adoption of the Law on Volunteering for years.
