From 15 November to 31 December 2010 a Christmas Charity Campaign of the Bulgarian Red Cross and Kaufland was held.
In all of the Kaufland stores in the country were put charity boxes, in which customers could donate money. A total of 15 728.30 BGN were collected.
In 2010, during the Easter and Christmas campaigns were collected 35 513.08 BGN for the Hot Meal Programme of the BRC, which helps to be provided free hot meal to socially disadvantaged children during the school year.
For the period 2004-2010, the program nearly 5 000 children from poor families, orphans and homeless children across the country received hot meal every weekday.
Currently, with funds provided by the Care Partners Network of BRC, over 900 children eat free in the dining rooms of the organization in 15 regions of the country: Sofia, Vidin, Vratsa, Gabrovo, Lovech, Pernik, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Silistra, Sliven, Sofia Region, Targovishte, Shumen, Yambol and Municipality of Tunja.
