During the snowstorm on 20 February this year, the Red Cross members of RC of BRC-Sofia region assisted 20 Romanian citizens, destitute more than 24 hours near the village of Churek, at “Hemus” highway. Among them there was a little child and a pregnant woman. The Red Cross volunteers bought sandwiches, water and croissants. With the BRC cooperation the Romanian citizens were driven to the town of Elin Pelin, where they received food and medical assistance.
