The Bulgarian Red Cross will celebrate the International Children's Day in the lobby of the Marinela Hotel , with a demonstration training for compliance with the rules of the road with children from the capital's 166 DG "Veselushka". Volunteers of the organization will demonstrate road safety techniques and first aid to 6-year-old children . The event will take place from 10.45 to 11.15 h during the international conference on road safety " Vision Zero for the Balkans" , which will be held on June 1 under the title "Children are our future" under the patronage and in the presence of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria - Mr. Rumen Radev.
The initiative is implemented with the support of partner organizations, members of the National Donation Fund of the Bulgarian Red Cross to help children injured in road accidents. Founded in 2005, the Fund, the only one in Europe, provides financial assistance to families of children affected by disasters. Funds are provided twice a year in connection with June 1 and Christmas. Since the beginning of this year, the families of 33 children have been supported with BGN 22,800 , and approximately 1,000 children have received financial support since the establishment of the Fund.
